At MyBirBilling, safety isn't just a guideline; it's the foundation of every flight. We adhere strictly to the regulations set by local authorities like the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department to ensure every flight is legally compliant and safe.
Your Pilot is in Command: Always listen to and follow the instructions of your pilot. They are experienced professionals dedicated to your safety in the unique Himalayan environment.
Your Pilot & Equipment
Certified Pilots: All our pilots are licensed and highly experienced with Himalayan weather patterns and Bir Billing's specific wind conditions.
Certified Equipment: We use internationally certified (EN/DHV rated) gliders, harnesses, and reserve parachutes.
Rigorous Maintenance: All equipment undergoes mandatory pre-flight checks and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Safety Gear: You will be provided with a well-fitted helmet and a secure harness for your flight.
Health & Fitness Requirements
Weight Limit: The permissible weight range is from 25 kg to 90 kg. This is crucial for aerodynamic safety.
Physical Fitness: You must be able to walk and run for a few steps during both takeoff and landing.
High Altitude: The takeoff site at Bir is at a high altitude (~2400m). Please inform our team if you have any respiratory issues or have experienced altitude sickness before.
Medical Conditions: Please inform us and consult a doctor before flying if you are pregnant or have conditions like heart ailments, epilepsy, or recent major surgeries.
Preparing for Your Flight
What to Wear (Do's)
Sturdy Shoes: Closed-toe trekking or sports shoes are mandatory.
Comfortable Clothes: Trousers/track pants and a T-shirt. A windproof jacket is highly recommended, even on sunny days.
Sun Protection: Sunglasses and sunscreen are essential.
What to Avoid (Don'ts)
Inappropriate Footwear: Do not wear slippers, sandals, or high heels.
Loose Clothing: Avoid sarees, skirts, or any loose garments that could get tangled.
Intoxication: Flying under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden and will result in cancellation without refund.
During the Flight
Attend the Briefing: Pay close attention to the pre-flight safety briefing. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
Follow Pilot's Commands: Your full cooperation during takeoff and landing is crucial for safety.
Secure Personal Items: If using a camera or phone, ensure it is securely attached to you with a strap. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Communicate Clearly: If you feel sick or uncomfortable at any point, inform your pilot immediately.
General Site Rules
Stay in Designated Areas: Please remain within marked spectator areas at both takeoff and landing sites.
Be Aware at Landing: The landing zone at Chaugan can be busy. Be aware of your surroundings and pilots who are landing.
Supervise Children: Always keep a close watch on children, especially near equipment and operational areas.
